NMLS #188995
After three years as a trader at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Bruce Bufe sought a new direction. He had always been entrepreneurial and passionate about finance but desired a career with more stability. He found it in the mortgage industry, which values long-term relationships over split-second trades.
Today, Bufe is a seasoned mortgage originator with over three decades of industry experience. From the Chicago branch of The Money Store, he serves clients in Chicagoland and across the country. Throughout his career, he has successfully closed over $1 billion in home loans, earning recognition from trade publications Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive Magazine as one of the top 1% of mortgage originators nationwide.
Bufe’s expertise lies in problem-solving, particularly in ensuring a smooth and comfortable transaction for clients making one of the biggest purchases of their lives. His past clients have praised his professionalism, availability and responsiveness.
Bufe works with a diverse range of clients, from first-time homebuyers to high-net-worth borrowers to seniors seeking reverse mortgages. He has built lifelong relationships with his clients, assisting them in purchasing their first condos, starter homes, family homes, lake homes and even multimillion-dollar properties. Additionally, he serves as a partner for real estate agents and financial planners, offering home-financing solutions and co-marketing support to help grow their businesses.
As the housing and mortgage markets evolve, Bufe recognizes the ongoing need for experienced loan officers like himself. He believes that despite technological advancements, people still require the personal advice, guidance and expertise of an industry authority.
